OWH Animal Pun Blog Skip

Hello Hoppers!

If you came here from Lee Mae you are in the right spot but if you found me first you really should start at Operation Write Home so you don't miss any great "punny" inspiration.

You've never heard of Operation Write Home - oh my. It is a great non profit organization that sends handmade cards to deployed servicemen and women to write home to their loved ones. If you'd like to learn more click here.

Stampers Best is a great friend to Operation Write Home by not only having stamps made by Sandy Allnock the founder of Operation Write Home but making a $1 donation from each sale of any Operation Write Home stamps in their store. My card is made with the Stamper's Best set Turtley Awesome.

If you click here it will take you to the Stampers Best store showing the three sets of stamps you have seen today on all the blogs. With this blog skip Stampers Best is launching these sets with a buy two get one free. What a great deal!

The next stop on the skip is Ronni @ Ronnie's Spot.

Thank you for stopping by today.

Lady Anne's Christmas Progressive Challenge

Hello everyone,

Can you believe it has been so long since I have posted. Time is just flying by.
I've been dealing with some life challenges but am happy to be back to card making challenges instead.

I ran upon a website called Lady Anne's Challenges. Since I make cards for Operation Write Home I thought the Christmas Progressive Challenge would be right up my alley.

We were given 2 free digis from Crafting with Jack for the first months challenge.

Here are my cards using those digi's.  I will put the links to the challenge and blogs below.

Here are the promised links if you'd like to learn about the challenge yourself.

I just want to thank Lady Anne for challenging us to make Christmas cards throughout the year and for Angela at Crafting with Jack for the free digis.

Until next time,

Marianne

Card Fun

Hello,

I am so happy that I have had time to make some cards for my favorite group Operation Write Home.
I was fortunate to get a stamp set from  Lawn Fawn and have had fun making kid cards. Now I have two cards that would be wonderful or a serviceman or woman to send home to a husband, wife, boyfriend or girlfriend. I combined my boomerrang from Lawn Fawn with a sentiment I picked up when I was in Salt Lake City for work from Words to the Rescue.

This first card was really simple to make with just the two stamps and layering.

My second card is a bit more elegant looking but just as easy.

You can't see it in this picture but after folding the card in half I embossed with my Scor Pal an inch from the bottom edge and then an inch from the fold.

I stamped and colored the boomerang from Lawn Fawn the layered it.
My next step was to stamp the sentiment at the bottom. Is this not the perfect sentiment?

Here you can see both of the lines I embossed with the Scor Pal and that I popped the boomerang image with dimensionals.

Thanks it for today.
I hope your Monday was a great one.

Lawn Fawn Midweek Throwdown Challenge

The birthday party is still going strong.
The challenge is to make a kid themed card with scallops.

I used a lot of scallops. The sun is a Martha Stewart scallop punch. The ground and grass is a Fiskar border punch. I used a large scallop to make the cloud background.

I hope you enjoy my card. Click here to join in the challenge.

Have a blessed week.

Shannon's challenge was to use any tool that you haven't touched in a while.

Here is a picture a tool I haven't used in over a year it not longer.

It is my Memory Makers any where punch.

Here is the card I used the punch on.

Has it been a long time since you used eyelets too?
